i did not grow up celebrating veterans day like they do here in america, but it does hold significant meaning to me as my father was someone who spent time in the united states navy. he used to tell me stories of comaraderie ( or nakama (仲間 ) and bonds forged through close shared experiences. better yet, that's how he met my mother.

anyways, i guess that's always why i admired men and women in uniform, and now living here in the usa and learning about its history, i have a strong respect for everyone who has given their life for their country.

my father's military background was a strong influence in the way that he raised me. he taught me the importance of commitment, loyalty, and for someone who always stands up for what's right!

now how do cheeky butlers play into this?

They don't. this is not their day.

to everyone who has served, we salute and honour you. thank you for your service!
